Summer is right around the corner, and that means one thing: iced drinks!

If you’re looking for a refreshing drink to keep you cool throughout the day, look no further than Starbucks’ iced matcha drinks.

I personally love the unique taste of matcha, and these iced drinks are the perfect way to enjoy it.

In this blog post, I will share my favorite iced matcha drinks from Starbucks.

On top of that, I’ll also provide some Iced Matcha recipes so you can make them at the comfort of your own home as well!

Best Starbucks Iced Matcha Drinks

1. Iced Matcha Tea Latte

This is the classic Starbucks iced matcha latte drink.

It’s a delicious blend of matcha green tea and milk, with a subtle sweetness that makes it perfect for any time of day.

Starbucks Iced Matcha Tea Latte is sweet and refreshing at the same time and tastes amazing.

2. Iced Matcha Creme Frappuccino

If you’re looking for a cold, creamy treat, this is definitely the right drink for you.

The Iced Matcha Creme Frappuccino is made with blended matcha green tea, milk, syrup and ice.

It’s then topped with delicious whipped cream.

If you’d like, you can optionally add a pump of vanilla syrup to sweeten it up and add even more flavor to your drink.

4. Iced Matcha Lemonade

This refreshing drink combines two of my favorite things: zesty lemonade and earthy matcha.

Starbucks’ Iced Matcha Lemonade is made with matcha green tea, lemonade and sugar syrup.

It’s a great choice when you’re in the mood for something that has (almost) no caffeine in it and is refreshing at the same time!

No matter which iced matcha drink you choose, you can’t go wrong. All of these drinks are delicious and will help keep you cool this summer (or anytime of year).

Is Starbucks Matcha Real Matcha?

Starbucks uses a blend of matcha and green tea in their iced drinks. The matcha they use is a bit on the lower quality side than what you would find in a traditional Japanese Matcha ceremony. However, it’s still a good drink and the taste is recognizable as matcha.

If you’re looking for a higher quality matcha to make at home, we recommend trying ceremonial grade matcha.

This type of matcha powder is made from the youngest and most delicate tea leaves.

It has a sweet, grassy flavor that is unmatched by any other type of matcha.

What Does Iced Matcha Taste Like?

The taste of iced matcha can best be described as earthy and slightly sweet. If you’re not used to the taste of matcha, we recommend starting with an iced latte or frappuccino. These drinks are a bit more diluted than the straight up iced matcha tea.

Remember that you can always personalize your drink just the way you like.

Whether you’d like to add sugar, syrups or milk, you can make your iced matcha drink just the way it suits you best!

Why Is Starbucks Matcha So Sweet?

Starbucks matcha is blended with milk and a few pumps of sugar syrup to create a sweet, creamy drink. If you’re looking for a less sweet version of the drink, you can order it without syrup or requesting light soy milk or almond milk instead of regular milk.

Depending on the type of Matcha drink you order, the sweetness will vary.

The Iced Matcha Latte is the least sweet, while the Iced Matcha Cream Frappuccino is certainly on the more sweeter side.

How Much Caffeine Is In A Starbucks Iced Matcha?

A grande Iced Matcha Tea Latte has about 70 mg of caffeine. This is about the same as a regular cup of coffee, but more than for example a decaf latte. If you’re looking for a drink with less caffeine, we recommend the iced matcha lemonade or the iced pineapple matcha drink.

These drinks are made with a blend of matcha and green tea, so they have a small amount of caffeine.

How Much Calories Are In A Starbucks Iced Matcha?

A grande Iced Matcha Tea Latte has about 190 calories. This is more than a regular cup of coffee, but less than a mocha frappuccino. If you’re looking for a matcha drink with fewer calories, we recommend the iced matcha lemonade or the iced pineapple matcha drink.

As these last two drinks tend to have less milk and sugar, they have fewer calories as well.

How To Make Starbucks Iced Matcha At Home

Sometimes you just can’t make it to Starbucks. When that happens, you can easily make iced matcha drinks at home!

In Conclusion
